REPORT: Is Joseph Paintsil moving to LA Galaxy?

Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil has reportedly arrived in Los Angeles ahead of his imminent move to Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.

The Black Stars winger is expected to complete a medical on Friday before agreeing to a four-year contract worth about eight million euros.

At the California-based team, the 26-year-old will be paid out of the MLS player salary cap as a designated player.

His six-year stint with KRC Genk, a formidable team in Belgium, comes to an end today, winning the league once.

After putting up strong numbers in the previous two seasons, he emerged as a major player for the team.

Genk, who can only sign a replacement winger during the summer transfer window, will be severely harmed by his departure.

The Los Angeles Galaxy, who last won the title in 2015, are bolstering their roster in front of the 2024 Major League Season.

Despite being the most successful club in MLS history, LA Galaxy finished 13th in the Western Conference last season and were 26th in the overall campaign.
