Orlando Pirate goalkeeper, Richard Ofori is the latest to arrive at the Black Stars camp

Black Stars and Orlando Pirate’s goalkeeper Richard Ofori is the latest player to arrive at the Ghana camp.


The experience goalkeeper doubles as the vice captain is the among the three goalkeepers shot listed as part of Black Stars players to represent Ghana at the 2023 African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ivory Coast slated to kick off on January 14.

The team opened their camp in kumasi in the Asanti Region of Ghana, some key players missed the first training session.

The shot stopper missed the day one training session on Tuesday at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

The good news is that Richard Ofori is in camp and part of the players that hold a second training session as part of the 2023 AFCON preparation.

Crystal Palace star, Jordan Ayew was one of the notable player to have also missed the day one training session in the Garden City, kumasi.

The arrival of Richard Ofori and Jordan Ayew pushes up the number of Black Stars players at camp to 25.

Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams are expected to be in camp to complete the squared by close of Thursday January, 4.

The Black Stars at the 2023 AFCON will come face-to-face against Cape Verde, Egypt and Mozambique in the group stage.
