Former Dreams FC forward Joseph Esso has staged a return to the club after unsuccessful stints in Algeria, the Ghana Premier League club has announced.
“Dreams FC is delighted to announce the signing of striker Joseph Esso,” the club officially announced on Monday.
Esso makes a sensational return for a second stint with the club having last played for Algerian club MC Algiers.
He has already signed a contract to confirm his return and is now awaiting international clearance.
“I didn’t hesitate at all to make the decision to return to this club when the opportunity came up,” Esso said.
“This place proved to be a good home for me when I first arrived and I hope to contribute to the aspirations of the club,” he added.
He scored 11 goals on his first stint with the club in the 2020/2021 season.
“Joseph made a great impact on the team during his time here,” Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shardow said of Esso’s return.
“He is a player we know very well and we believe strongly he’ll be another great addition to the squad in achieving our targets.”
Dreams FC have been stupendous this season, both in the CAF Confederation Cup and the Ghana Premier League campaigns.
The return of Esso is expected to inject more quality into the Still Believe boys in their Ghana Premier League campaign.
Already, Dreams FC have been benefiting from the experience of John Antwi, another returnee, in their campaigns.
