OFFICIAL: Former hearts of Oak manager Samuel Boadu completes move to Berekum Chelsea

Former Hearts of Oak and Medeama SC coach Samuel Boadu has been officially appointed as head coach of Berekum Chelsea.

The 2021 Ghana Premier League winning coach has inked a one-year contract with the Berekum-based club.

After guiding Hearts of Oak to winning the Ghana Premier League title in 2021, Boadu comes with loads of knowledge and expertise.

Boadu also secured a domestic double as he won the Ghanaian FA Cup title for the Accra-based club in the same year he won the Premier League.

Boadu is anticipated at the dugout for Chelsea’s Sunday matchup against the Accra Lions.

With Christopher Ennin’s departure, the team is now without a permanent coach as a result of this action.

Boadu, who served on the national team and as an interim coach at Cornerstone FC, is ready to lead Chelsea back to the top division.

Though Annor Walker was first given some thought, Boadu became the clear favourite and agreed to a brief deal.

He is the perfect candidate because of his incredible history, which includes making Medeama a title challenger.

Chelsea hopes to improve under Boadu’s direction and make a strong push for victory in the Ghana Premier League.

With 15 games left, Chelsea is presently sixth in the league rankings, five points behind leaders Samartex.
