Nassam Yakubu rescues a point for BC Rangers with late strike

Former Ghana U23 forward Nassam Yakubu rescued a point for B.C Rangers by scoring a late equalizer in his side’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Standard Rangers in the Sapling Cup.

With three straight goals for B.C. Rangers, the Ghanaian forward has now tallied 18 goals and 7 assists in 22 appearances this season across all competitions.

B.C. Rangers had a rough start to the match as they lost 1-0 in the first half to Standard Rangers, who scored in the second minute through Tsui Isaac. When Lamlok Jerry added a second goal in the 47th minute, Standard Rangers appeared to be winning all three points.

But B.C. Rangers showed no signs of surrender, as Kamigata Yosuke reduced the tally in the 82nd minute.

Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim scored the crucial equaliser in the 86th minute as time was running out, setting off wild celebrations among the B.C. Rangers supporters.
