MATCH REPORT: Nsoatreman 1-2 Hearts of Oak – Rejuvenated Phobians maintain winning run under new manager Ouattara

Even though they fell behind early, the club persevered admirably and won 2-1 away from home.

Hearts of Oak struggled early on to seize control of the game against Nsoatreman, despite their commanding performance against Real Tamale United last week.

Using this as an advantage, the home team’s Walid Neymah Fuseini scored the first goal in the 23rd minute.

Fuseini found space and scored with a well-placed effort from inside the box thanks to poor defending from Hearts of Oak.

But Hearts of Oak outperformed them in the second half, proving that Ouattara’s halftime strategies were successful.

Ibrahim Salifu levelled for the Phobians Bbefore Cisse doubled their lead to run away with the win.

After a magnificent build-up play, Ivorian forward Cisse Kassim scored a wonderful goal eight minutes later to tie the game with a deflected attempt from Salifu Ibrahim that beat the custodian.

With the victory, Hearts of Oak won their second straight game under Ouattara and won their fifth straight league game without a loss.

They now sit seventh on the table after this outcome, but they are still eight points behind leaders Samartex.

With a few games remaining, Hearts of Oak might still challenge for the championship if they continue to play well.

However, Nsoatreman continues to lead Hearts of Oak in the standings and will be disappointed that they were unable to overcome the Phobians.
