Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu helped Monaco defeat RC Lens 3-2 in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday, providing a vital assist for his side.
He had not contributed to a goal in eight games following his summer transfer from Southampton.
His Black Stars team mate Salis Abdul Samed, was an unused substitute for Lens in the game.
In the 19th minute, Folarin Balogun, who had received a long pass from Mohammed Salisu, showed great strength and pushed Monaco ahead with a calm finish.
A little more than ten minutes later, Minamino’s powerful shot went between custodian Samba’s hands and into the net.
But Lens swiftly cut the Monégasques’ lead in half, as Elye Wahi infamously slipped past the final defender to finish easily in the bottom corner.
Radosław Majecki had stopped Wesley Saïd’s initial effort on goal, but he levelled the score for Lens with a rebound.
With a great attempt from his right flank into the upper corner, Minamino stepped up to deliver the sucker punch at the last second.
