Ghana forward, Inaki Williams was on target for Athletico Bilbao in their 3-2 win over Girona in the La Liga on Monday night.
His goal came on the 60th minute when Athletico Bilbao were leading 2-1 through Alex Berenguer’s brace before Inaki extended it to 3-1.
Inaki’s right footed strike at the San Mames Barria becomes his 9th La Liga goal of the season in 21 appearances.
Throughout the season, Valvede’s team has relied on the Ghanaian’s skills on the right flanks, and it has paid off as they are currently in fifth place with 49 points.
Following Ghana’s elimination from the recently concluded Africa Cup of Nations in the group stages, Inaki Williams has scored twice for his team, demonstrating his skill as a striker on the club level.
The Spanish-born Ghanaian, who debuted with the Black Stars in September 2022, has scored once in 17 appearances and had a terrible AFCON in Ivory Coast.
With twelve (12) goals in the league this season, the player is well on his way to breaking his own record for the most goals scored in a season when he scores more than ten.
