Hearts 3-0 RTU: Aboubakar Ouattara off to a flying start with Phobians

New Hearts of Oak manager Aboubakar Ouattara teared off to a flying start with the Phobians after registering a 3-0 win over nemesis RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

While Ouattara was greeted with the stupendous performance capped with a brilliant win, the Phobians got a sweet revenge on the visitors who they had failed to beat in their last three meetings.

In-form striker Hamza Issah continued from where he left when the league went on break for the Africa cup of Nations hosted in Ivory Coast.

The promising forward registered a first half brace before Enock Asubonteng’s finished it off with a sweet strike after recess.

Issah, who expertly controlled the ball with his chest before volleying inside the post, gave Hearts of Oak a quick lead in the eighteenth minute.

Before being replaced, he headed home a pinpoint cross from Salifu Ibrahim on minute forty to complete his brace.

At the 70-minute mark, Asubonteng struck home to put their guests out of the match.

Despite their wastefulness in front of goal, the Phobians could have scored more.

With 24 points after the victory, Hearts are now in ninth in the league.

RTU drops to 17 points, bottom of the standings.

Hearts of Oak is away to Nsoatreman in their next game, while they host Bofoakwa Tano.
