Good news for arsenal as Thomas Partey holds group training ahead of FC Porto clash

Premier League side Arsenal have been handed a massive boost as Thomas Partey returns to group training ahead of their UEFA Champions League game against FC Porto.

The 30-year-old midfielder, who has been sidelined since October due to an injury, resumed full-time training on Tuesday.

He is anticipated to play for Arsenal on Wednesday in the Champions League Round of 16.

Although Partey has had injury struggles this season, when he is healthy and on the team, he has always been an important player for Mikel Arteta.

If Arsenal is to advance to the later stages of the league, his experience in Europe’s top competition will be crucial.

Another player who has been sidelined for months due to injury, Fabio Vieira, joined the former Atletico Madrid midfielder in training.

Due to interest from clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia in the past, Partey’s future with the Gunners is still uncertain.

Partey missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to an injury setback.
