German-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Kohn opened his scoring account for Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig in their impressive 6-2 win against Rizespor on Saturday.
After moving from German team Hannover to the Turkish powerhouses in February, the 25-year-old centre back made a spectacular debut for the team and helped them to an overwhelming victory.
Kohn shared a photo of himself celebrating the first goal on his Instagram page, writing, “First goal and a great moment.”
In what was a Round 29 match of the Turkish Superliga season, the young player made his team’s debut.
Six minutes into the first half, Derrick Kohn had a great opportunity and he took it all the way. To his teammates’ pleasure, he found the back of the goal to give Galatasaray the lead.
He made six ball recoveries for his team and worked his socks off throughout the match to ensure his team bagged all three points.
After netting his first goal for Galatasaray in his fourth game for the team, he will be hoping to score more as the team fights for the Turkish Super Lig title.
