Ghana star Thomas Partey makes injury return in Arsenal massive win over Sheffield United

Deputy Ghana skipper Thomas Partey returned to action on Monday night in Arsenal’s 6-0 win over Sheffield United in the English Premier League.

The Ghana star made the incredible comeback after more than four months on the sidelines due to injury.

Partey picked an injury in October 2023 and has been out of action since then.

The hardworking midfielder was brought on in the 65th minute to replace Jorginho in a game that the gunners were dominant.

That was Partey’s fifth Premier League appearance of the year for the London side as his season has been hampered by recurring hamstring injuries.

Just as he was getting close to fully recovered, the Ghanaian international sustained a hamstring injury during the October international break, which kept him out of action.

He was forced to miss Arsenal’s last 23 games due to this setback.

However, he was back on Monday night as Arsenal easily defeated a struggling Sheffield United team to win the Premier League for the seventh time in a row, demonstrating their superiority.

Against the bottom team in the league, the Gunners jumped out to a dominant 3-0 lead in the first 13 minutes and increased it to 5-0 by halftime.

Ben White, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Jayden Bogle all scored goals, adding to Sheffield United’s misery.

With the convincing victory, Mikel Arteta’s team now trails league leaders Liverpool by just two points.

With 11 games remaining in the season, Sheffield United finds itself 11 points outside of safety while Arsenal is well-entrenched in the title fight.
