Ghana President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo expects an estimated 2.2 billion viewers worldwide for the 13th African Games set to commence next month.
President Akufo-Addo outlined his hopes for the event at the commissioning of the Borteyman Sports Complex, where majority of the games will take place.
The Borteyman Sports Complex and University of Ghana Stadium will serve as the primary venues for the Games, which are scheduled to take place from March 8 to March 23.
President Akufo-Addo, accompanied by Hon. Mustapha Ussif, Minister of Youth and Sports, emphasised the expected audience throughout his speech.
President Akufo-Addo emphasized the need for major stakeholders to collaborate diligently to ensure the success of the event, urging them to strive for nothing short of the “best African Games in history.”
