EXCLUSIVE: Over 550 coaches apply for vacant Black Stars coaching job

Interest in the vacant Ghana coaching job is hitting the roof with over 550 coaches applying for the vacant position, sienutvsports.com can exclusively report.

The position was left vacant following the dismissal of Chris Hughton after the Black Stars’ poor show at the ongoing AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast.

Chris who failed to win a game at the tournament was shown the exit with the Ghana FA announcing a 5-member committee to look for a new manager.

The committee announced modalities for the vacant job is application deadlines for those interested.

Sienutvsports.com understands that 600 coaches tabled their application for the Ghana job at the close deadline last Friday.

Top European coaches including former Utaly national team manager Roberto Donadoni have all put in their application for the Black Stars job.

Sienu TV can also reveal that about 10 local managers including Maxwell Konadu, Michael Osei and Bashiru Hayford has also expressed interest in the job.

The search committee is expected to name the next Ghana manager in the coming days.
