BLACK QUEENS: Freda Ayisi earns maiden Ghana call up ahead of Zambia clash

Charlton Athletic midfielder, Freda Ayisi, has been handed her maiden Ghana call up ahead of the Black Queens clash with Zambia in the 2024 Olympic Game s qualifiers.

The player, who is based in England, will practise with the rest of her team before the match next week.

After past setbacks, Ghana is attempting to qualify for the Olympic Games in women’s football for the first time.

Ayisi has played for teams like Birmingham City Women and Arsenal, giving her a wealth of experience.

Later this year, the 29-year-old is anticipated to be crucial in assisting Ghana to secure a spot at Paris 2024.

Coach Nora Hauptle, meantime, will be looking to get back to winning ways following her one and only loss to Namibia in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying round.

The Swiss coach is aiming to achieve another triumph on the global scene after leading the Black Queens to AFCON qualification.

Freda is one of 23 players who have been handed call ups by Nora for the important clash with the Copper Queens of Zambia.
