Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan, has been appointed among the sub-committee of the New Patriotic Party, NPP’s manifesto for the 2024 general election.
The 38 year-old former Black Stars striker will chair the Youth and Sports Committee whose role will be to undertake a holistic review of the party’s 2016 and 2020 Manifesto and come out with a pragmatic 2024 manifesto on Youth and Sports for the next four years.
The prolific striker will have the opportunity to engage other top party hierarchy in achieving a solid and comprehensive manifesto which will be headed by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif as the advisor.
Gyan is also tasked come up with a great football plan and ideas on Youth development in sports (Men and Women) after a disastrous campaign at the just ended AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast and to also rejuvenate Ghana football as a whole.
