Black Stars boss, Chris Hughton has said that his side is lucky to have Mohammed Kudus.
The West Ham United winger missed Ghana’s opening game of the ongoing African Cup of Nations against Cape Verde but made amends in the second group game against Egypt, scoring twice to help Ghana draw 2-2, a feat which earned him a man of the match award.
“What we saw of Mohammed Kudus is the continuation of what people in England have seen of his club football. So we are lucky we have such a player,” said Chris Hughton.
“Although he has been out for some three weeks but this is player who has been in good form for his club team and we were fortunate enough that was he was able to continue the game,” he added.
The 2-2 draw against Egypt leaves the Black Stars in third place and will have to secure maximum points against Mozambique in the final Group B game on Monday to secure a place in the round of 16.
