Ampem Darkoa Ladies head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has been appointed the new coach of the female U-17 national team, the Black Maidens, the Ghana FA has confirmed.
The Ampem Darkoa Ladies coach who doubled as the assistant coach for the Black Princesses, will take over the reins from Baba Nuhu.
Joe Nana Adarkwa led Ampem Darkoa Ladies to two Women’s Premier League titles in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
He also won the Women’s FA Cup with Ampem Darkoa Ladies two seasons ago and led them to win Gold at the WAFU Women’s Champions League as well as a 4th placed finish in the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League Cote D’Ivoire.
Northern Ladies coach Basiru-Deen Sumani will assist him, while former Asante Kotoko and Ghana goalkeeper Osei Boateng works as goalkeepers’ trainer.
Dr. Maame Antwi-Gyamfi is the team’s doctor and Lorraine Arko serves as team nurse.
