Forward Doris Boaduwaa of the Black Queens is optimistic that her side will advance to the next round of the Olympic qualifying competition in 2024.
Known as the battle of the Queens, the Black Queens were defeated by Zambia 1-0 on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Queens striker claims that Ghana would be motivated to battle for a comeback after losing to the Copper Queens, ahead of the rematch in Zambia.
“Defeat is temporary, but the bond with our fans is forever. We may have fallen short in the game, but your unwavering support never wavered.
“Thank you for standing by us through thick and thin, cheering us on with passion and belief. We’ll use this loss as fuel to come back stronger and make you proud. Together, we’ll conquer the next challenge,” Doris Boaduwaa said in a post on X.
The reverse fixture of the tie between Ghana and Zambia in the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games will be played on Wednesday, February 28.
