Zambia’s female senior national team – The copper Queens – have touched down in Ghana ahead of their Olympic Games qualifier with the Black Queens of Ghana.
Ghana will play host to Zambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday before travelling to Ndola for the rematch.
Zambia’s senior women’s national team landed in Accra today to begin getting ready for the highly anticipated match.
Their goal is to achieve success in Accra prior to the return leg, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in Lusaka.
The Black Queens have already qualified for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, therefore they have high hopes for qualifying for the Olympics.
After defeating Guinea and Benin in the earlier rounds of the qualification series, the Black Queens are hosting the opening leg of the third-round qualifier in Accra.
The team has never qualified for the Olympic Games and aims to create history this time around.
The game is scheduled for 5:00pm kick off at the Accra Sports Stadium.
